Overview
A compact USB-C Power Delivery trigger module that negotiates a specific voltage from any PD-compatible charger, outputting it on screw terminals for use in your project. Set your required voltage once via the onboard DIP switches and it'll request that voltage automatically every time it's plugged in - no microcontroller required.
Ideal for powering projects from a USB-C PD charger instead of a dedicated bench supply or barrel-jack adapter. Supports up to 100W and includes over-temperature and over-voltage protection.
Specifications
| Input | USB-C (PD charger), 4V–22V |
| Output voltage | 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, or 20V (DIP switch selected) |
| Max power | 100W |

DIP Switch Voltage Selection
Toggle each switch up for 1, down for 0. The module will negotiate the corresponding voltage from your PD charger.
| CFG1 | CFG2 | CFG3 | Output Voltage |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | 0 | 0 | 5V |
| 1 | 1 | 1 | 9V |
| 1 | 1 | 0 | 12V |
| 1 | 0 | 0 | 15V |
| 1 | 0 | 1 | 20V |
Common Use Cases
- Powering 12V or 20V project builds from a USB-C PD charger
- Replacing barrel-jack power supplies with a cleaner USB-C solution
- Portable bench power using a laptop charger or power bank
- LED driver or motor supply where a specific rail voltage is needed
Note: Output voltage depends on what your PD charger actually supports. If the requested voltage is unavailable, most chargers will fall back to 5V. Always verify your charger's supported profiles before connecting sensitive loads.
