We do our best to align with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and honour all aspects required of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This covers how we handle private information to ensure customers are protected to the best of our abilities.

Your details provided are only used for activities directly related to your engagement with the Platima brand, such as for order fulfilment, newsletter subscriptions, article comments, feedback, and similar.

For your own assurances, we recommend using 'plus tags' in your email address. What this is; if you have an email account from a provider that is compliant with the RFC such as Google 'Gmail' or Outlook/Hotmail, you can add metadata to your email address to track how that address is used. For example if you have the email address WeLovePlatima@gmail.com, you could purchase goods here and enter the email address WeLovePlatima+PlatimaTinkers@gmail.com as your email address. Emails to this address will still go to your same inbox, but you will see they are sent to that address, so should you ever receive spam to that address, you know we stuffed up!

Some data may be collected automatically by us or third parties, such as your operating system and browser information, and IP address, referring URL, language, and related, in order to improve our product range, train new staff, assist in minimising spam, preventing malicious acts, and enhance your experience as a customer.

We only provide your information to the immediately obvious third parties such as Shopify, Alphabet / Google / Youtube, PayPal and/or Stripe, and similar platforms that you engage with us through.

You can request details on the information on you that we have on file, and that this be amended or removed at any time. It is important to note that some data may not be able to be removed, such as order histories or payment transactions, as are required for both customer satisfaction but also taxation law.

We do not intentionally collect any details on any persons under the age of 13 as our site and content is not intended for use by children. Whilst we do understand that someone of this age may visit our store or content, we would encourage any parents or responsible parties to contact us if you require any details removed for such an event.
